episode_narrativeRain began during the early morning hours and became heavy at times along with a few thunderstorms. A slow moving cold front extended across southeast Massachusetts and rainfall was enhanced by the remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine as it moved across the offshore waters. There were spotty reports of heavy rainfall from the Connecticut Valley to Cape Cod. A total of 3.17 inches fell at Springfield and 3.00 inches at Ayer. Hopkinton reported 2.75 inches. The maximum amount reported was 4.13 inches at Plymouth, while Falmouth had 2.37 inches. Other places reported less than two inches.
