Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms with very heavy rain developed during the afternoon across the northwest section of Puerto Rico, mainly from the municipalities of Anasco to San Sebastian and Isabela and from Aguada to Aguadilla. The heaviest rains occurred in San Sebastian and Moca. By mid to late afternoon moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms were still affecting the municipality of San Sebastian. An NWS spotter from San Sebastian reported around 4 inches from 1430-1700 AST. The USGS river level sensor at Culebrinas in Moca indicated that the water levels were above flood stage during the early evening, while the USGS sensor at the Margarita Dam indicated the water level was gradually increasing. According to NWS spotter at Coloso Valley the river level rose along the flood control channels, flooding around 400 acres in the lower Coloso Valley.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developed across the west and northwest section of Puerto Rico during the afternoon and produced periods of heavy rain that fed into the Culebrinas river basin. From 2030 LST through 0015 LST on December 7 the USGS river level sensor at Margarita Dam in Aguadilla indicated water levels at 14.97 feet. Flood stage is 14 feet.
