Storm total rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches were common. Raleigh/Durham recorded 2.5 inches, Goldsboro recorded 2.25 inches, Fayetteville received 2.7 inches, and Rocky Mount had nearly 3.0 inches. There were widespread reports of flooding in low-lying, urban, and normally problematic areas. Several roads had to be closed for brief periods of time with the most numerous road closures in Sampson, Warren, Vance, Granville, Halifax, Scotland, Lee and Durham counties. No one was injured during this event. |
