episode_narrativeHeavy rain fell across southern areas of the Maryland Eastern Shore as thunderstorms continued to reform and move over the same locations. The rain became heavier as a developing low pressure system intensified over Delaware and Southern New Jersey. Nevertheless storm totals averaged between 3 and 5 inches in Talbot County and 5 to 8 inches across Caroline County. Specific storm totals included 7.7 inches In Denton and 5.0 inches in Federalsburg. In spite of the torrential downpours, the drought conditions that have occurred all summer helped the ground absorb much of the rain. There were no reports of any serious flooding.
