| episode_narrative | Rain, heavy at times, fell across Delaware from the evening of the 18th through the morning of the 19th. The heaviest rain fell between midnight and 6 a.m. EDT on the 19th. Storm totals averaged one to two inches across much of the area. Heavier rain and flooding occurred in New Castle County. But farther south, some urban and poor drainage flooding occurred, but no serious flooding or damage was reported. A low pressure system developed near Norfolk during the late evening of the 18th. At 8 a.m. EDT on Saturday, it was located near Atlantic City. Tropical moisture associated with Hurricane Lili (Which was farther east in the Atlantic Ocean.) was ingested into this low and literally wrung out over Delaware. Representative storm totals included 3.40 inches in Newark, 1.89 inches in Lewes, 1.56 inches in Georgetown, 1.48 inches in Dover, 1.32 inches in Camden and 1.17 inches in Bridgeville. |
