episode_narrativeA low pressure system that developed along the Gulf Coast States Monday morning the 12th moved northeast and passed through the Delmarva Peninsula the morning of the 13th. It tapped the abundant moisture over the South and consequently produced heavy rain across Central and Southern New Jersey. Rainfall totals averaged between 1 and 2 inches across Central New Jersey and 2.5 to 4 inches across Southern New Jersey. This occurred over about a 24 hour span thus flooding was limited to poor drainage locations. No significant stream flooding was reported. Storm totals included 3.63 inches in Estell Manor, 3.62 inches in Margate, 3.3 inches in Atlantic City, 2.8 inches in Harvey Cedars, 2.76 inches in Verga, 2.54 inches in Millville, 2.25 inches in Cherry Hill, 1.63 inches in Hazlet, 1.52 inches in Washington Crossing and 1.41 inches in Iselin.
