Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA slow moving cold front with waves of low pressure produced bands of heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms across Eastern Pennsylvania on the 15th. The most widespread heavy rain fell in Berks and western Carbon County. Localized heavy rain produced some poor drainage flooding elsewhere including Philadelphia. The steady rain started during the early morning on the 15th, fell at its heaviest from late morning into the early evening on the 15th and ended from west to east early on the 16th as the cold front cleared Eastern Pennsylvania. Event totals averaged 1.5 to 4.0 inches. Dry antecedent conditions prevented much stream and creek flooding from occurring.
