This cold front led to a convective complex of storms moving along this boundary to initially produce large hail and damaging winds. Additional thunderstorms developed along the stalled out boundary during the predawn hours to produce heavy rainfall across Central Kansas. Some locations reported up to 6 inches of rainfall by the late morning hours. This severe weather episode is a continuation of an event that started during the evening hours of August 31st, 2014. |
