Outflow from this convection combined with the seabreeze moving inland to enhance shower and thunderstorm development across the ranchlands and the brush country. These storms moved slowly west southwest and produced rainfall rates of 3 to 4 inches per hour with radar estimates of 5 inches of rain falling along and north of Highway 83 in south central Zapata County in the space of a few hours. |
