The heaviest rains were between midnight and 6 am which slowed the morning commute around Phoenix. Sky Harbor International Airport received just under an inch of rain, but the .96 inch was enough for a new daily rainfall record. Nearby Ahwatukee had over an inch while Tempe and Scottsdale both reported .91 inch. Scottsdale police reported roads closed near the Indian Bend Wash. |
