episode_narrativeShowers and thunderstorms produced rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches in parts of western Oklahoma including Ellis and Roger Mills counties. Three-inch rainfall amounts were recorded in two hours during the afternoon of the 19th in Ellis County. The heavy rains fell over soils that had been previously saturated by precipitation a few days before, and the resulting runoff produced bankfull conditions along small creeks in the region, and temporarily halted the wheat harvest. In Ellis County, Rock Creek and Wolf Creek were at bankfull levels, as well as many ditches in the area.
event_narrativeA low area along Highway 15 in Gage was covered by floodwaters to a depth of about one foot.
