| episode_narrative | The remnants of Tropical Storm Allison brought periods of heavy rainfall to south central Maryland between the afternoon of the 15th and the evening of the 16th. In Prince George's County, 3.05 inches of rain was reported near Brandywine and 2.27 inches fell at Jug Bay Wetlands. In Calvert County, between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain was measured. Across Eastern Charles County, 1.5 to 3.7 inches of rain fell. A spotter between Waldorf and Hughesville estimated an inch of rain fell in only 20 minutes during one downpour which flooded the Route 231 and 5 intersection. In St. Mary's County, rainfall totals included 3.72 inches in Ridge, 2.45 inches in Hollywood, and 2.33 inches at Tall Timbers. Several streams and creeks reached bankful across the country, including the St. Mary's River. |
