episode_narrativeA slow moving cold front and a very humid air mass preceding it helped generate showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain across the Maryland Eastern Shore from the evening of the 25th through the first half of the 26th. Doppler Radar storm total estimates ranged between 2 and 5 inches. While the heavy rain produced some poor drainage flooding, no serious flooding was reported. The combination of lightning and the heavy rain saturating the soil downed a few trees and limbs across the Eastern Shore on the 26th. About 2,700 customers lost power in Queen Anne's and Talbot Counties. Hardest hit were Church Hill (Queen Anne's County), Longwoods (Talbot County) and Easton (Talbot County). Storm totals included 5.20 inches in Easton (Talbot County), 4 inches in Chestertown and Millington (Kent County), 3.20 inches in Stevensville (Queen Anne's County) and 2.5 inches in Federalsburg (Caroline County).
