Thunderstorms formed ahead of the front and produced a band of heavy rainfall from north central and parts of northwest Iowa into the southeast counties. Rainfall of two to nearly five inches was reported. A rainfall report of 4.68 inches was received east of Ringsted in Emmet County. No severe weather was reported, however nickel size hail fell north of Ankeny in Polk County.
