Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA persistent upper trough in the vicinity of Hawaii helped destabilize the lower atmosphere over the lee side of the Big Island. Heavy rain fell over parts of Kona and South Kohala in the evening hours. The rainfall produced small stream and drainage ditch flooding, and ponding on roadways. No serious injuries or property damage were reported.
