| episode_narrative | Thunderstorms with torrential downpours caused flash flooding of some of the smaller creeks in northern Berks County and northwestern Lehigh County as well as poor drainage flooding from northern Berks County eastward through the Lehigh Valley. State troopers responded to many calls about flooded roadways. The heaviest rain fell in northern parts of Tilden and Windsor Townships in Berks County where Doppler Radar storm total estimates were between 3 and 4 inches and in western Lynn Township in Lehigh County where Doppler Radar storm total estimates were around 2.5 inches. Measured storm totals included 1.62 inches in Hamburg (Berks County), 1.60 inches in Easton (Northampton County) and 0.93 inches at the Lehigh Valley International Airport. No serious injuries were reported. |
