| episode_narrative | The remnants of what once was Hurricane Gordon dropped heavy rain across west central and southwest New Jersey during the late afternoon and early evening of the 19th. It caused poor drainage flooding in low-lying areas. The heaviest rain fell in Mercer County and caused some minor flooding along the Assunpink Creek. The rain was not unusually heavy, but came after what was already an unseasonably wet September and summer. The Assunpink Creek at Trenton was above its 7 foot flood stage from 9 p.m. until 930 p.m. EDT on the 19th. It crested at 7.1 feet at 919 p.m. EDT. Roadway flooding along U.S. Route 130 was reported in Collingswood. Storm totals included 2.14 inches in Trenton (Mercer County), 2.10 inches in Pennsauken (Camden County), 2.00 inches in Somerdale (Camden County) and Windsor (Mercer County), 1.74 inches in Mount Laurel (Burlington County) and 1.66 inches in Mount Holly (Burlington County). No serious injuries were reported. |
