| episode_narrative | A slow-moving late season storm brought very heavy amounts of rain during a 24 hour period along the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Southeast Washington. Several locations received much more rain in 24 hours than their monthly averages for May. Walla Walla received over 2 inches of rain while Dixie, at a higher elevation east of Walla Walla received 3.5 inches. This rain produced minor flooding of Mill Creek and the brief closure of Mill Creek Road, located 7 miles east of Walla Walla. Nearby, a mudslide briefly covered Lewis Peak Road. |
