| episode_narrative | Another frontal passage during the 5th brought 1.04" of rain to Fresno which broke the record for the date. However, through March 8th, the Fresno rainfall total since January 1st was 10.61" ... the second fastest time to reach its annual rainfall of 10.60" ... and eclipsed only by the wet year of 1969 when 10.66" of rain fell between January 1st and February 19th. This quick rainfall accumulation is significant because of the abnormally dry start to the local water year and the recovery to normal precipitation total amounts avoided economic hardships to local agriculture due to water delivery cutbacks. |
