episode_narrativeA slow moving frontal system with weak waves of low pressure riding north along it brought heavy rain throughout most of the day and into the evening on the 21st in Northwest New Jersey. Storm totals averaged between 1.5 and 2.5 inches and caused poor drainage flooding and flooding of low lying areas. No significant stream or river flooding was reported. The heaviest rain occurred when widely scattered thunderstorms moved through the region. Storm totals included 2.56 inches in Wantage (Sussex County), 2.52 inches in Newton (Sussex County), 2.26 inches in Sussex (Sussex County), 2.20 inches in Phillipsburg (Warren County), 2.09 inches in Belvidere (Warren County), 1.85 inches in Chatham (Morris County), 1.80 inches in Columbia (Warren County), 1.73 inches in Reigelsville (Warren County) and 1.00 inch in Wertsville (Hunterdon County).
