| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A weak upper-level trough persisted just to the west of the area yet another day. A warm, humid air mass remained in place across the region along with numerous outflow boundaries from earlier convection. Scattered bands of thunderstorms developed across the region throughout the afternoon, some repeatedly developing or training across the same areas. One area that was subject to this was western Greenbrier county, where thunderstorms dumped two to three inches of rain in less than two hours causing flooding along Muddy Creek near Crawley. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | The West Virginia Department of Highways reported that Muddy Creek flooded two roads in western Greenbrier county. Hamilton Bridge Road was flooded with water flowing over the road as a result of a backed up culvert or drainage pipe. The road sustained minor damage as a result. Blue Sulphur Springs Road was also flooded by the waters of Muddy Creek, but no damage was observed to this road. |
