A short line of storms accelerated southward across the Pennyrile region. These storms were in advance of a weak cold front that extended from central Indiana westward along Interstate 70 to the Mississippi River. The storms moved through a moderately unstable air mass with mixed-layer capes between 1000 and 2000 j/kg. A large area of stratiform rain in the wake of the squall line caused some minor flooding in the Henderson area. |
