| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | An upper low just north of the islands induced heavy rain and thunderstorms over the Garden Isle of Kauai, and heavy showers over Oahu. The rain produced ponding on roadways, and small stream and drainage ditch flooding. There were no reports of serious property damage or injuries, though children in schools in northern parts of Kauai were let out early as a precaution in the event that the Hanalei Bridge would be closed due to flooding. Also on Kauai, debris flows occurred along Kuhio Highway near the Wainiha and Lumahai rivers, limiting the roadway to one lane for a time. |
