The storms affected much of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, and brought locally heavy rain as well as winds in excess of 50 mph. The gusty winds also produced areas of dense blowing dust in locations such as Gila Bend.

A trained weather spotter near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills reported one half inch of rain within 20 minutes. The heavy rainfall produced curb to curb street flooding. Another spotter 5 miles northwest of Paradise Valley reported 0.41 inches of rainfall within 10 minutes.
