Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA strong low north of the Aloha State generated surf of 15 to 25 feet along the north-facing shores, and 8 to 15 feet along the east-facing shores, of all islands except Lanai. The especially high surf kept lifeguards busy helping people in distress. One surfer died in waters off Anahola in Kauai during the afternoon of the 13th. No significant property damage was reported from the high surf.||The low also destabilized the atmosphere over the islands and caused heavy showers and thunderstorms on Oahu and in Maui County. There were no reports of serious property damage or injuries from the precipitation.
