Several new record high temperatures were established including 110 degrees at Picacho, 109 at Safford Airport, 107 at Duncan and 105 at Sasabe. Other high temperatures included 107 at Sells. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two adult males, one west of Ajo, and another in northwest Santa Cruz County.
