Very dry conditions due to the developing drought conditions across Southwest Arkansas combined with the compressional warming beneath the ridge resulted in afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 90s each day. Limited mixing was also observed each day, with resultant heat indices ranging between 105 and 110 degrees. |
