| episode_narrative | Hot, muggy air settled over portions of southcentral and southeast Wisconsin in between rounds of thunderstorms. Early morning heat indices were around 80, and they rose to 105 to 110 during the afternoon hours. Maximum air temperatures in the afternoon were in the lower to middle 90s and afternoon dewpoints were in the lower to mid 70s. Nighttime minimum air temperatures were generally in the lower 70s. The heat and humidity forced a near record demand for electricity, resulting in brownouts that left about 5000 customers without power for several hours on the 23rd, and 7000 customers without power on the 24th. |
