episode_narrativeUnseasonably warm temperatures occurred throughout much of the state. High pressure over the western Atlantic generated an unusually warm westerly wind flow. A new record high temperature for the month of December of 76 degrees was established for Hartford at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks. The previous record was 74 degrees set on December 29, 1984. The maximum temperature of 76 degrees also shattered the previous record high for December 7, which was 62 degrees set in 1953. Incidentally, this came a few days after the record high for December 4 was tied. That record was 71 degrees which was originally set in 1982.
