While high temperatures were mainly in the lower to mid 90s inland, dew point temperatures averaged in the mid 70s. This produced afternoon heat indices of around 105F which were second only to August 8th as the highest of the summer. A cold front moved through the area early on the 26th and limited this event to only one day.||Highest temperatures included 94 degrees in Woodstown (Salem County), Pennsauken (Camden County), Hammonton and Estell Manor (Atlantic County) and Mount Laurel (Burlington County), 93 degrees in Millville (Cumberland County), Tuckahoe (Cape May County), Clayton (Gloucester County), Deans (Middlesex County), Flemington (Hunterdon County), West Deptford (Gloucester County) and Trenton (Mercer County), Berkeley Township (Ocean County), 92 degrees in Hillsborough (Somerset County), Cream Ridge (Monmouth County) and Kingwood (Hunterdon County) and 91 degrees at the Atlantic City International Airport. |
