Some observed maximum temperatures on the 2nd included; Union Village at 97 degrees, Rutland at 95 degrees, Springfield at 94 degrees, Cornwall at 93 degrees, Middlebury and Northfield at 92 degrees, Montpelier at 91 degrees and North Clarendon at 90 degrees.
