No deaths were reported, however, on June 30th, at least 150 people at Milwaukee's Sumerfest (Milwaukee Co.) required first-aid treatment and one was taken to a local hospital for heat exhaustion. At least 6 people in the Madison (Dane Co.) area required medical treatment at local hospitals. Milwaukee Mitchell Field recorded a maximum of 95 on June 30th, while Madison came in with 93. Heat index values on June 30th peaked in the 95 to 104 range, thanks to surface dewpoints in the upper 60s to lower 70s. |
