In Trenton (Mercer County), the monthly mean temperature was 38.9 degrees and was 5.5 degrees above normal while the monthly mean temperature in New Brunswick was 38.4 degrees; which was 7.2 degrees above normal. For the meteorological winter as a whole, the state of New Jersey had its second warmest winter on record. The preliminary winter mean temperature was 38.7 degrees, second only to the 38.9 degree mean temperature set in 1931-32. At the Atlantic City International Airport, the mean temperature was 39.9 degrees and was the seventh warmest winter on record.
