During the first 7 days of the month, the official maximum temperature at Albany reached at least 50 or higher on every day, which had never happened before in the 127 year history of record keeping. During those 7 days, two record high temperatures were established, 65 on the 5th and 68 on the 6th. The average mean temperature during the first week was 16.1 degrees above normal!
