High temperatures themselves were mainly in the mid to upper 90s. While high temperatures on the 27th and even the 28th were close to those on the 26th, humidity levels were a bit lower and afternoon heat index values were generally 100F or less. High temperatures on the 26th included 98 degrees in Salisbury (Wicomico County), 97 degrees at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport and 93 degrees in Easton (Talbot County). The high temperature on the 27th reached 100F in Salisbury (Wicomico County). The last hot spell solidified July 2012 as the third warmest July on record (with a statewide average temperature of 79.0 degrees) dating back to 1895. |
