This resulted in an extended period of exceptionally hot weather, which continued into August. Temperatures were above normal with daytime readings reaching the upper 90s to near 102 and overnight temperatures only falling into the mid to upper 70s. Very humid conditions resulted in afternoon heat index values between 105 and 115 degrees. At least eleven people were treated for heat-related illness on the 30th and 31st in the Tulsa area. |
