The combination of the heat and humidity produced heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees on the 24th. The heat wave ended with the passage of severe thunderstorms and a strong cold front during the afternoon of the 25th. Highest temperatures included 101 degrees and both the Baltimore-Washington International Airport and Salisbury (Wicomico County), 97 degrees in Easton (Talbot County) and 96 degrees in Stevensville (Queen Anne's County).
