Temperatures across much of east central New York warmed well into the 90s with some locations reaching the century mark. Numerous locations in Dutchess County recorded temperatures around 100 degrees with Poughkeepsie reaching 102 degrees on the 6th and 101 degrees on the 7th. Heat index values ranged from the upper 90s up to 104 degrees during the peak heating of the day in mainly valley locations. Even across the higher terrain of the southern Adirondacks and eastern Catskills, temperatures warmed into the upper 80s to lower 90s. |
