Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeSeveral waterspouts developed near the Middle Keys in association with convective cloud lines forming near the islands, embedded within a lower tropospheric ridge axis.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeThree waterspouts were observed and reported as a video via social media. Two of the waterspouts' condensation clouds did not extend far from the cloud base. The third waterspout, furthest to the east, was of medium width, tilted about 30 degrees from vertical, and extended approximately two-thirds of the way from the cloud base to the horizon.
