An isolated gale-force thunderstorm wind gust was also observed later in the evening as dry mid-level air moved into the Keys from the east. Large high pressure extended from New England to the Gulf coast states, with broad cyclonic flow over the western Caribbean.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeA waterspout was observed east of Bahia Honda State Park. The condensation funnel cloud extended about one-fifth the way from cloud base to the surface with no visible spray ring.
