episode_narrativeA weak front stalled across the northern portion of the area earlier in the day and provided a focus for thunderstorms to develop by evening. Conditions by afternoon became warm and quite unstable near the front. Several large supercell thunderstorms developed across southern Arkansas and northern Louisiana and tracked east toward the Mississippi River and then across central sections of Mississippi. These storms were prolific hail producers and produced large swaths of quarter to golf ball sized hail. The largest hail was around baseball size which occurred across northeast Louisiana. All the severe weather occurred between 9 pm and 1 am.
