Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeThunderstorms developed in the afternoon along a frontal boundary aligned north to south over the western and central parts of North Dakota. Initially, storms formed along the northern portions of the boundary, then developed south. A highly visible tornado developed over southern Morton County in the evening, then two tornadoes developed within minutes of each other in Bottineau County, with the second one damaging two properties. The largest hail was the size of a tennis ball, which occurred in Morton County. The strongest wind gust was 75 mph, and occurred in Bottineau County.
