| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | The ridge of the Atlantic high pressure was located well south of east central Florida, which resulted in southwest winds across the area. Also, there was a weak front located across north Florida that assisted in generating numerous afternoon showers and thunderstorms. These showers and storms initially developed along the west coast sea breeze, and became more numerous as they moved across the peninsula. As these storms moved across the Brevard County coast a couple of storms produced strong wind gusts. One storm also produced a waterspout on the Indian River near Melbourne Beach. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | A trained spotter reported a brief waterspout over the Indian River just south of River Road near Melbourne Beach. |
