Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAround the noon hour of Thursday, June 28th, an east to west stationary boundary was located across southern North Dakota into central Minnesota. It was warm and muggy, with temperatures in the 80s and dew points in the low 70s along the boundary. Thunderstorms tracking from west to east along highway 2 became severe over the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks area just after the noon hour CDT, dropping heavy rain and large hail. During the afternoon, other storms flared up, mainly between highways 2 and 200.
