Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeFollowing the passage of numerous thunderstorms during the mid-afternoon hours, the atmosphere destabilized enough for an isolated storm to develop early in the evening. This storm produced a weak tornado that was well-documented on video. The storm occurred along an eastward-moving cold front. The environment near the front remained very moist and moderately unstable, supportive of intense convection. Within the exit region of a 50 to 60 kt 500 mb jet, strengthening bulk wind shear supported storm organization.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeA brief funnel cloud was observed.
