The storms were slow movers, resulting in flash flooding across portions of the area. The storm system also spawned a powerful supercell, which moved from northeast to southwest north of Elko and Carlin. A funnel cloud and well developed wall cloud was observed. Due to the radar signature, significant hail, strong winds, and a tornado were likely, but mostly stayed away from populated areas and were not reported. |
