Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA developing surface low off the middle Texas coastline tapped into the moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Patricia. As this low moved up the upper Texas coast it produced moderate to heavy rainfall that lead to southeastern Texas flooding. Within a better sheared downstream environment, isolated storms that formed along this low's leading warm frontal boundary produced tornadoes and waterspouts. In addition to the heavy rainfall, strong east northeast winds over much of the week resulted in minor coastal flooding along western Galveston Bay.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeThe waterspout was reported off the Galveston Island coast near the town of Jamaica Beach.
