A shortwave aloft which was embedded within the cyclonic flow interacted with this front and showers and thunderstorms developed over central New York. Late Friday afternoon the front started to slowly shift southward as a cold front. Showers and thunderstorms continued to develop along the front into the late evening hours as it moved southward into Pennsylvania. These storms produced damaging winds and large hail. |
