| episode_narrative | Widespread severe thunderstorms ripped across most of south-central Nebraska. Tornadoes were reported southwest of Sumner and east of Hebron. High winds and hail were common place. 60 to 80 mph winds rolled across a large part of the area. Buffalo County was without power for a time. A tree fell on one wing of the assisted living center in Ravenna. In Furnas county, large trees were knocked over and several center irrigation pivots were damaged or destroyed. A grain bin was blown away east of Kearney and road signs were blown down throughout Buffalo County. Heavy rain also caused flash flood in Howard and Greeley counties where county roads were damaged or washed out. |
