episode_narrativeThe same supercell thunderstorm that dropped two tornadoes in Cecil County Maryland moved eastnortheast from the Pine Barrens of Burlington County across Lacey, Dover and Berkeley Townships in Ocean County. SKYWARN Spotters were chasing this storm and noticed it continued to develop funnel clouds, this time one last one was spotted over Island Beach State Park. The funnel clouds did not touch down. But, the storm produced golf ball size hail in Bayville and Lanoka Harbor and nickel size hail in Forked River. The hail covered the ground in Lanoka Harbor. The thunderstorm also produced some damaging winds in Bayville as a wind gust to 63 mph was measured. Trees and wires were knocked down in Bayville and also in Holiday City.
